Dr. Roshni Rawlani

Board-certified dermatologist in Tucson, AZ

Dr. Roshni Rawlani is a board-certified dermatologist. She has been recognized and is most proud of her ability to implement patient-centered, science-driven, holistic, and artistic modalities in her practice.

Dr. Rawlani attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, for her undergraduate degree where her interests in psychology, plastic surgery, and ultimately dermatology were born. She participated in numerous research projects that continue to influence each of these fields today. In order to stay close to family, she attended University of Missouri School of Medicine for her medical degree. She was so impressed with the dermatology department there and stayed to complete her residency. She considers herself to be very lucky to have trained with physicians that were leaders in dermatologic surgery, pathology, pediatrics, and most importantly patient-centered care.

At the beginning of the career, Dr. Rawlani accepted a position at the Southern Arizona Health Care System in Tucson, Arizona, after hearing that there was no longer a practicing dermatologist there. Given her interest in skin cancer screening and surgical excisions, she was eager to join and lead the department at the VA in order to address the overwhelming number of skin cancers & longstanding & at times disabling conditions that veterans had been struggling with. She will also be assuming the role of Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Arizona to pass along her expertise and guidance to dermatology residents who will also aid in Tucson and the surrounding community’s access to timely and specialized dermatologic care. She loves to educate both patients and trainees on the biology of their skin so they can have a better understanding of how to best take care of it. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and Women’s Dermatologic Society.

Dr. Rawlani’s vision for her career has always been to be the most well-rounded, patient-centered, and skillful physician to the best of her ability. She has known and respected Dr. Sheila Farhang since she was a medical student, and quickly found that Dr. Farhan’s passions in integrative, whole body wellness, and cutting edge approaches to skin health matched her own. Although she is primarily an expert in all things medical dermatology- skin cancer, autoimmune, acne, dermatitis- she is continuously expanding her breadth of knowledge. Dr. Rawlani loves to find root causes to patient concerns, rather than temporary fixes, and will thus work diligently to get to meet their shared goal. She is excited to start her position at Avant Dermatology and the practice fully as the versatile, dedicat, and artful physician that she is. According to Dr. Rawlani, there is no better gift than being able to make someone feel beautiful and confident in their own skin.

Dr. Rawlani’s fiance, Dr. Alexander Lubinski, will be moving to Tucson as well where he will be starting as a musculoskeletal radiologist physician at the University of Arizona this fall. They are excited to settle in and explore the unmatched and beautiful city through hiking of Tucson and road trips, and most importantly to serve the members of this community.
